Logical Analysis of Parmenides Concept of True Being

Abstract

The article analyzes the central concept of Parmenides philosophy, i.e. true being. One of the possible representations of this concept is its interpretation as a logical law, namely, the law of identity. However, there are different ways of representing this law, determined by a selective logical analysis of language expressions. In this work, these approaches are analyzed and compared. The study introduces such an interpretation of the law of identity that satisfies the properties of Parmenides's true beingconceivability and uniqueness.
