Localization of genes encoding egg modifiers of paternal genome function to mouse chromosomes one and two

Abstract: It is now well established that genomic imprinting effects in mammals require a combination of epigenetic modifications imposed during gametogenesis and additional modifications imposed after fertilization. The earliest post-fertilization modifications to be imposed on the genome are those thought to be mediated by factors in the egg cytoplasm.
