Abstract:By incorporating an enzyme-susceptible thiolester group and a diazonium group into the same molecule, it has been possible to obtain an osmiophilic polymer upon enzymatic hydrolysis of the thiolester, via diazothioether formation linking the units. The thiolacetates with diazonium groups are specific substrates for cholinesterase because of the strong positive charge on the diazonium group. Following osmication, sites of acetylcholinesterase in motor end plate are notable as black deposits in light microscopy … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
