Local geodynamics of the territory of dniester pumped storage power PLANT

Abstract: The aim of the study is to identify the recent local geodynamic processes on the territory of the Dniester PSPP (Ukraine), which arose as a result of the additional man-caused load during the construction of hydro-technical structures. The research is based on the results of 17 cycles of periodic static GNSS campaigns conducted during [2004][2005][2006][2007][2008][2009][2010][2011][2012][2013][2014][2015][2016][2017]. In this work the vectors of horizontal displacement of the reference GNSS network points of … Show more

“…Focusing on practical computer simulations in research, Rezghi and Riasi [30] provide a numerical simulation to study the interaction effect of the hydraulic transient conditions of selected pump-turbine units in PSH taking into account the 'S-shaped' instability region. Savchyn and Vaskovets (Ukraine) [31] study the local geodynamics of the location of Dniester's PSH. The aim of their work is to find out about the recent local geodynamic processes on the mentioned place which arise because of the additional man-caused load during the construction of hydrotechnical structures.…”

“…The study of geodynamic processes and areas of both Ukraine [Tretyak et al, 2015] and the European continent [Tretyak & Vovk, 2016] in general is a relevant aspect of geodetic research, as well as establishing the magnitude of the annual change as horizontal [Tretyak & Vovk, 2014;Vovk, 2015] and vertical [Tretyak & Romaniuk, 2014;Tretyak & Romaniuk, 2018] movements of the earth's crust associated with age-related geodynamic processes, especially in man-made areas [Zayats et al, 2017;Mordvinov et al, 2018;Savchyn & Vaskovets, 2018;Savchyn & Pronyshyn, 2020]. The results of such geodetic measurements give information about the movement only at certain points on the earth's surface, and not for the entire earth's crust.…”

“…Dnister Hydro Power Complex is under continuous monitoring: GNSS observation network is differentiated [Savchyn and Vaskovets, 2018], the relationship between construction stages and seismicity of the region is determined [Savchyn and Pronyshyn, 2020], kinematics of HPP-No. 1 dam are differentiated [Tretyak et al, 2021b] and the interrelation of altitude displacements of the GNSS sites due to non-tidal atmospheric loads are identified [Tretyak et al, 2021a].…”
