Gyurko et al (2005) have shown that iNOS-derived NO promotes bone resorption through osteoclast differentiation during bone development, as well as after bacterial infection in Porphyromonas gingivalis-induced periodontal disease in mice (Herrera et al, 2011) which can increase the susceptibility to the development of psoriasis or the severity of established psoriasis as reported by Davidovici et al (2010).
