This research aims to produce a module that is relevant to the character of Muhammadiyah Vocational School, namely integrating Islamic and Muhammadiyah values with the Pancasila student profile. This research was a type of development research by applying the Sadiman Development Method. Analysis of the result quality of the developed module was carried out using a validation test from the material aspect and media aspect as well as a trial by respondents to the developed module. The evaluation was conducted by media professionals using a 20-item questionnaire, yielded an average score of 84, indicating a high level of appropriateness. Similarly, material experts assessed the validators using a 30-item questionnaire and found the performance to be highly appropriate, resulting in a score of 89. Based on these findings, it can be stated that the developed digital module has relevant validity values and is suitable to be used in vocational learning which can be integrated with Islamic and Muhammadiyah values. The use of this module has an impact on cultivating Islamic character and Pancasila students for Muhammadiyah Vocational School students. This distinctive character is a provision for alumni to be able to compete in the work world in today's digital era.

The introduction of literature into English classes is an attempt to improve students' language skills. In Malaysian schools, students’ interest in the chalk-and-talk method of teaching and learning literature has waned, leading to a decline in students' knowledge acquisition and a reduction in their engagement in learning. One of the ways to solve this problem is to integrate technological platforms, such as social media platform TikTok, into literature assignments. However, there are not many studies that have investigated the use of this application in literature learning for Malaysian secondary school students. In this quasi-experimental quantitative study, the researchers used TikTok as a strategy in teaching literature to 150 Form Two students, selected through purposive sampling, to determine students' engagement in learning literature and improve their knowledge acquisition. The two instruments used were an adopted questionnaire, and pre-tests and post-tests administered to control and experimental groups. Descriptive statistics, such as number, percentage, independent and paired t-tests, were used to analyse the results. The results of the study show that the overall mean of students' engagement with TikTok in learning literature is very high and students' knowledge acquisition in learning literature is positive. The study elucidates how teachers can improve their students' knowledge and promote engagement in literature using TikTok. Both the teaching and learning literature become fun and foster creativity as an appropriate medium, like TikTok, enables student-centred learning.

This study investigates the 21st century skills of the third and fourth year students studying at the Department of English Language and Literature of two Turkish state universities. Additionally, this study reveals the levels of the 21st century skills of these students. To this end, a case study has been designed and conducted with 158 ELL students and 20 lecturers of the same department. The study has been conducted throughout the 2019-2020 academic year. In this study we review the related literature and we have chosen the two appropriate research instruments to collect the data. These instruments include a survey questionnaire for the students and a survey questionnaire for the lecturers are used to investigate the 21st century skills of ELL students. The quantitative analysis of the data reveals that the students in these ELL departments are aware of their own 21st century skills. Another conclusion of this study demonstrates that although most of the students stated that they already use most of the 21 century skills, the lecturers do not readily approve of them. The lecturers stated that the students did not use different thinking techniques to create original ideas in their lives, evaluate new ideas by using analysis, work patiently to produce solutions to the problems, and the students did not take steps to improve their skills. Additionally, the lecturers disagreed with the statements that the students listened to other's opinion about a subject, had effective communication skills, adapted to different roles in their lives, were open to criticism, knew that learning was a lifelong process, knew that media was effective in directing people's opinion, used appropriate media tools to get information and used technological tools to analyse information.
