“…This method has been used to synthesize nanoparticles of II-VI compounds (e.g., CdS, PbS), 10,11 III-V compounds (GaAs) 12 and a wide range of metal oxides including TiO 2 , 13 ZnO, 14 Fe 2 O 3 , 15 and PbO, 16 Fe 3 O 4 . The major templates used for the preparation of hybrid materials can be produced at present with monodispersed colloid particles or controlled morphology (such as membrane pore structure).…”

“…For the synthesis of inorganic particles, the most common method is based on the solution phase. This method has been used to synthesize nanoparticles of II-VI compounds (e.g., CdS, PbS), 10,11 III-V compounds (GaAs) 12 and a wide range of metal oxides including TiO 2 , 13 ZnO, 14 Fe 2 O 3 , 15 and PbO, 16 Fe 3 O 4 . 17 Nano-ZnO, as one of the multifunctional inorganic nanoparticles, has drawn increasing attention in recent years due to its many signicant physical and chemical properties, such as chemical stability, 18 low dielectric constant, 19 high transmittance, 20 high catalysis activity, 21,22 effective antibacterial and bactericidal action, 23,24 UV-screening 25,26 and infrared absorption.…”

“…Current controlled liquid phase epitaxy (CCLPE) is a cost effective technique to achieve a thick epilayer without any adverse environmental affects [23,24]. Growth mechanism of GaAs in CCLPE has been investigated theoretically and experimentally on the flat substrate and it is concluded that electromigration of solute dominants the growth with higher thickness at the center of the epilayer than its periphery [25][26][27][28]. The preliminary studies about selective epitaxial growth of GaAs on circularly patterned GaAs substrate by CCLPE showed higher growth at periphery than its centre and it motivated to study the selective epitaxial growth in detail.…”

“…The total driving force is the sum of these two effects. The growth mechanism in CCLPE was investigated theoretically and experimentally, and it was concluded that electromigration dominates the growth mechanism in III-V compound semiconductor growth [24][25][26][27][28][29][30].…”
