Linear and Nonlinear Optical Absorption of CdSe/CdS Core/Shell Quantum Dots in the Presence of Donor Impurity

Abstract: Linear and nonlinear optical properties in colloidal CdSe/CdS core/shell quantum dots with different sizes have been theoretically investigated in the framework of effective mass approximation. The electron states in colloidal CdSe/CdS core/shell quantum dots have been calculated using the finite element method. The intraband linear and nonlinear absorption spectra have been calculated for colloidal CdSe/CdS core/shell quantum dots with different sizes. In addition, the dependences of the linear and nonlinear … Show more

“…Regarding infrared photodetection obtained from confinement space, InAs nano-disks in a QW cause a calculable optical absorption [6]. As an absorber modeling on the light wave, intensitydependent absorption has been introduced within iterative density matrix form [7], so several studies where linear and nonlinear optical absorption have been reported [8][9][10][11]. Since third-order nonlinear phenomena depend on optical intensity, saturable absorption has also been accomplished [12].…”

“…Another potential model is the Poeschel Teller potential. In the following articles, the electronic states in the presence of an impurity in the center, and exciton states in CdSe/CdS core/shell QDs were studied as well as Raman spectra due to excitons, spectra of interband and subband absorption, as well as photoluminescence 45,46 .…”
