“…Some of them are as follows: the theory of diffusion of innovations (Rogers, 1995), the theory of reasonable action (Fishbein and Ajzen, 1975), the technology acceptance model and its variations (Venkatesh andDavis, 1996, 2000;Venkatesh and Bala, 2008), and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology and its variation (Venkatesh et al, 2003). The technology acceptance model was widely applied in the 1990s (Venkatesh, 2000), but the weakness of this model lies in considering the individual as the center of the decision to use technology, thus leaving the social context in the background (Brito and Ramos, 2019;Maity et al, 2019). The unified theory of acceptance and use of technology also adopts an approach focused on the individual's perception.…”

“…The unified theory of acceptance and use of technology also adopts an approach focused on the individual's perception. The weakness of this model is associated with the absence of external variables responsible for influencing the individual's perception and the lack of consensus on the model's level of explanation (Rahman et al, 2017;Brito and Ramos, 2019;Maity et al, 2019). Thus, this study chose to use the IDTGIT as it has a broader approach that also considers contextual characteristics and characteristics external to the individual by focusing specifically on gender difference, which guides this work.…”
