Extended-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (ESBL-E) is a major public health problem in hospitals and in the community. The objective of this work was to describe the epidemiology of ESBL-E, to study their resistance profile and to determine the genes encoding the ESBL phenotype. This is a retrospective study conducted in the bacteriology laboratory of the Mohamed V Military Training Hospital in Rabat, and covering all isolates of Enterobacteriaceae from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2020. The molecular study of ESBL genes involved a representative sample of all ESBL isolates. The overall prevalence of ESBLs in isolated Enterobacteriaceae (1402/10268) is 13.65 %. The urinary tract was the main site of isolation of ESBL (61 %). The bacterial species most concerned are Escherichia coli (41.9 %), Klebsiella pneumoniae (42.2 %) and Enterobacter cloacae (11.9 %). The study of antibiotic susceptibility showed a resistant profile marked mainly by 100 % resistance to first generation cephalosporins (1GC) and third generation cephalosporins (3GC), 55 % to piperacillin-tazobactam, 16 % to imipenem, and 87 % to fluoroquinolones. Molecular typing of ESBL strains showed a prevalence of CTX-M (95 %), SHV (50 %) and TEM (56 %). The CTX-M-1 and the CTX-M-9 groups were the most common (96.19 % and 7.62 % respectively), and CTX-M15 was found in 78.10 % of CTX-M-1 ESBL positive isolates. Most strains had more than two coexisting resistance genes. The prevalence rate of ESBL-E is critical, and preventive action at different levels (prescriber, biologist, hospital, patient, etc.) are necessary in order to limit their spread and to manage a better therapeutic strategy.

Infections of Urinary tract are one of the significant to recommending antibiotic utilization. To involve the most perfect antibiotic for treatment patients, solid and ongoing information about the study of disease transmission and antibiotic resistance of pathogenic bacteria should be accessible for clinicians. So, the normal checking in every nation is required. The points of our review to explore the uropathogenic bacterial variety and antibiotics resistance rates of pathogenic bacteria at the Mansoura Oncology Center (Egypt, Mansoura city) from first October, 2019 to 30th September, 2020 and furthermore to add to checking and topographical variation of treatment by antibiotic. 150 urine samples by aretrospective analysis at Mansoura Oncology Center was processed according to the perfect protocol of urine analysis. Current results were prepared to obtain the prevalence of Urinary tract infections, antibiotics bacterial resistance, time over evolution, and multidrug resistance rate. Bacteria collected from 100 samples were the Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae were to be the most identified with 42.0%, and 35.0% respectively. Other main detected species were Enterococci (9%), Pseudomonas (5%), Proteus mirabilis (4%), Citrobacter (2%), Breundimona (1%), Raoultella (1%), and Kluyvera cryocre-scens (1%). Resistance tests to antibiotics indicated K. pneumoniae was more resistance to Cefotriaxon 39.3%, while E. coli was resistant to Ciprofloxacin and Levofloxacin by 41.8%. The variety of some uropathogenic bacteria acquired had all the reserves of being resistant to various antibiotics. Ready faciing by arestorative impasse and the coming of bacteria with multi-resistant, recognizing explicit causes also is significant to adjust antibiotic treatment.

This study addresses the problem of pathogenic bacteria resistant to antibiotics isolated from infected chickens and the use of medicinal plants and their bioactive substances in vitro. On 75 strains isolated from a dead chickens belonging to the three families the Enterobactereaceae; the Staphylococeae; the Pseudomonaceae bacteria. The antibiogram tests were used to select ten resistant bacteria strains in this study. Ethonobotanical study was done to select the most medicinal plants used for the therapy of animals in Algeria. The essential oils of six medicinal plants were extracted by Hydro distillation (Clevenger). The plants with their yields in essential oils are: Thymus vulgaris (2.75%), Salvia officinalis (2.50%), Rosmarinus officinalis (2.43%), Thymus capitatus (1.82%), Ruta chalepensis (0.93%), Artemisia herba alba (0.90%). By measuring the activity of the oils on agar medium, this test has provided the following results: The essential oils of different plants gave the diameters of inhibition zones between 0 mm and 53.33 ± 1.53 mm, for the 5 µl discs, and between 0 mm and 52.33 ± 2.52 mm, for the 10 µl discs, while discs of 15 µl, those diameters vary between 0 mm and 56.67 ± 1.15 mm. The results of MICS of oils studied are encouraging, oils of Thymus capitatus, Rosmarinus officinalis and Salvia officinalis share a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) between 1.25 and 20 (μL.mL-1) with an effect bactericidal/ bacteriostatic, except the oil Salvia officinalis presents a bactericidal effect. The oils of Thymus vulgaris, Artemisia herba alba and Ruta chalepensis have a MIC respectively of 1.25 to 10 (μL.mL-1), 5 to 40 (μL.mL-1), 1.25 and 40 (μL.mL-1). The effect is bactericidal effect for these oils.
