Lepton flavor violating decays of neutral higgses in extended mirror fermion model

Abstract: We perform the one-loop induced charged lepton flavor violating decays of the neutral Higgses in an extended mirror fermion model with non-sterile electroweak-scale righthanded neutrinos and a horizontal A 4 symmetry in the lepton sector. We demonstrate that for the 125 GeV scalar h there is tension between the recent LHC result B(h → τ µ) ∼ 1% and the stringent limits on the rare processes µ → eγ and τ → (µ or e)γ from low energy experiments.

“…This is the rationale behind the superscripts p and m in labelling W . As another comparison, we also observe that non-sterile right-handed neutrinos ν l R s, incorporated in the mirror fermion models of electroweak scale right-handed neutrinos [40][41][42][43][44][45], are different from our setup. In the mirror fermion models, ν l R s are paired together with mirror charged leptons l M R s to form SU (2) L doublets.…”

“…Therefore, for simplicity, we assume the neutral scalar H does not couple directly to the SM quarks and its mixing with the SM Higgs h is sufficiently small. In a large variety of BSM scenarios, the scalar H can couple to the SM-charged leptons in a flavor-violating way [19][20][21][22], 1 e.g., in the left-right symmetric model (LRSM) [36][37][38][39], two Higgs doublet model [40][41][42] , R-parity violating supersymmetric theories [43][44][45][46], and mirror models [47][48][49][50]. The LFV couplings of H can arise at the tree-level or 1-loop level, depending on model details.…”
