The article presents a theoretical proposal in the field of the didactics of History and Social Sciences, which is based on the difficulties that the teaching and learning processes have had in school to link with the social and individual experiences of students. From this, it is intended to understand how the incorporation of autobiographical stories, as an articulating axis between the daily experiences of the subjects and the historical narratives and the anthropological perspective of historical consciousness, makes possible the construction of educational spaces that promote the emergence of the subjectivity proposed by Gert Biesta. To do this, the concepts of historical culture and historical consciousness are first addressed. Then, historical narratives and the anthropological perspective of historical consciousness are characterized, in addition to the concept of autobiographical narratives. Finally, the opportunities and challenges for the field of didactics in History and Social Sciences that emerge when autobiographical stories are worked on as an articulating element of educational processes are explained.
