Children and Young People’s Participation in Disaster Risk Reduction

“…Such work has helped scholars from disciplines such as psychology, sociology, anthropology, public health, geography and political science to understand, develop and expand how children and disasters interact, affect and transform each other. In particular, there is a growing area of research and practice that points to the need to encourage children's perspectives, capacities and actions in disaster risk management and climate change adaptation across the globe (Pfefferbaum et al, 2018;Alburo-Cañete, 2019;Towers et al, 2019).
