Learning Activities in Physics Using Students Worksheet Based on Predict-Observe-Explain (POE)

Abstract: This research aims to describe students learning activities through the implementation of students worksheets based on POE. This study was descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted in one of the Islamic Senior High School in Bantul, Yogyakarta on Circular Motion material. The research subject was determined through random sampling. The number of subjects in this research consisted of 26 students in the first year. Data were collected using an observation sheet in 3 meetings observed by two p… Show more

“…The same thing was also stated explained that using the POE model with an initial syntax starting from predicting the problems encountered and determining solutions to these problems, then making observations related to the problems encountered and finally clarifying the findings from observations able to train students in critical thinking. The same thing was also stated by Zulaikha et al, (2021) that by applying POE students are allowed to explore themselves in finding a truth that will build skills that are expected in the 21st century.…”

“…Oktaviami, (2022), claimed that students responded positively to the POEbased Student worksheet which indicated an interest of 64.89% for its application. El-Student worksheet based on the POE model has also been able to improve critical thinking and visual representation skills following research conducted by Olivia & Muchlis, (2021), Zulaikha et al, (2021) dan Khowatin, (2017) which states that learning involving the POE model is effective in increasing learning activities, especially oral, visual, writing and monoric activities and actively both in the affective and psikomotor domains to improve critical thinking and visual representation skills.…”

“…Melalui cara ini, maklumat mudah dilihat berdasarkan ciri-ciri suatu kumpulan. Pengetahuan sedia ada yang bercanggah dengan konsep yang dipelajari dapat diubah melalui pendekatan POE (Baran & Yasar, 2020;Vaara & Sasaki, 2019;Zulaikha et al, 2021). Pengetahuan pelajar mengenai topik Graf Gerakan Linear dikenal pasti melalui fasa meramal.…”
