“…Trait theory is a constant in leadership and management studies. Usually, research that resorts to this approach addresses the relationship between leadership effectiveness and certain traits and qualities of great leaders (Daft, 2008;Denhardt & Campbell, 2005;Lunenburg & Ornstein, 2012;Northouse, 2016), and wishes to answer the main question: "What are the key and pivotal personal qualities and characteristics that often contribute to effective leaders?". While the relationship between personal traits and leadership practices has not been conclusively tested in educational settings, more explicitly, this research highlights a set of compelling personality traits and qualities that effective school leaders potentially possess such as ambition to influence and inspire, commitment and passion to lead, great vision, self-confidence, emotional intelligence, high self-regulation, honesty and integrity, accountability, curiosity, creativity and innovation, resilience, etc., (Hoy & Miskel, 2008;Mayger & Provinzano, 2020;Northouse, 2016;Pont et al, 2008).…”

“…Situated learning theory offers LD a rationale for extending its application. Although LD is taking place outside the workplace in business classrooms (Denhardt and Campbell, 2005), the classroom fails to transfer LD into practice because this may contradict factors such as organisations' culture (Kramer, 2008). As developers, trainers, and designers see people in different ways, designing educational and developmental processes proposes turning people into individuals through moving from on-job training to classroom training sessions.…”

“…The second distinction provides a framework for assessing resources and developing a leadership strategy depending on whether one has or does not have authority (Heifetz and Linsky, 2002). Denhardt and Campbell (2005) offer an interesting review of leadership education through an examination of how different educational approaches to teaching leadership differ in views and assumptions about leadership. They address four common approaches to public sector leadership, including trait theories, situational theories, transformational change theories, and value-based theories.…”
