“…Changing behaviors among adolescents at risk for or living with T2D is challenging, and the optimal approach for increasing PA among adolescents with T2D remains uncertain. Recent systematic reviews [183][184][185] suggest that the efficacy of conventional behavioral lifestyle interventions for adolescents living with obesity is modest and rarely sustained.…”

“…Changing behaviors among adolescents at risk for or living with T2D is challenging, and the optimal approach for increasing PA among adolescents with T2D remains uncertain. Recent systematic reviews 183–185 suggest that the efficacy of conventional behavioral lifestyle interventions for adolescents living with obesity is modest and rarely sustained. The modest effects may be related to the observation that ~80% of the RCTs of behavioral lifestyle interventions offered only 30 min of support weekly, and only 2 of 35 interventions addressed psychosocial factors 186,187 .…”

“…The comparative safety and efficacy of any two treatment regimens were modeled for each treatment agent relative to the reference treatment agent. We conducted random effects and fixed effects models to pool the network results and selected the preferred model by comparing the deviance information criteria (DIC) ( McGavock et al, 2020 , Spiegelhalter; et al, 2002 ). The models were based on 30,000 iterations after a burn-in of 10,000 iterations.…”

“…A consistency model was established to combine direct and indirect comparisons. Random- and fixed-effects models were used to pool the network results and the preferred model by comparing the deviance information criteria (DIC) (Spiegelhalter et al, 2002 ; McGavock et al, 2020 ). The comparative efficacy and safety of any two treatment regimens was modeled such that each drug was relative to the other, and the point estimates [relative risks (RRs), or mean differences (MDs)] and the relevant 95% credible intervals (CrIs) were then obtained from the model.…”
