“…57,68,69 We also observed that daytime fluctuations in PACG after trabeculectomy, 3.8 ± 2.1 mm Hg 70 was lower than that reported after LPI, 5.44 ± 2.4 mm Hg. 71 Increased use of trabeculectomy may be suggested in the management of both PACG and POAG.…”

“…We found that iridoplasty was effective in releasing PAS and there was a significant reduction in the extent of PAS after the iridoplasty procedure, and thus, this procedure may be helpful in cases with PAS at presentation with or without a high IOP. In the study conducted by Sun et al, 26 the authors stated that iridotomy alone released PAS to some extent, but the combined laser technique, iridotomy plus iridoplasty, released more of the PAS. We however did not find that iridotomy alone caused any reduction of PAS, but after iridoplasty, there was a significant decrease in the extent of PAS.…”

“…In a study conducted by Sun et al, 26 the authors compared the efficacy and the safety of LPI with or without LPIp in the treatment of eyes with synechial primary angle closure or PACG. In this study, the authors randomized their patients into 2 groups to either receive iridotomy alone or iridotomy plus iridoplasty.…”

“…Se trataba de pacientes con CAP o GCAP sinequial. La adición de IPLA a la iridotomía no aportó ventajas significativas en cuanto a reducción de PIO, número de fármacos antiglaucomatosos, necesidad de cirugía o progresión campimétrica 65 . Sin embargo, en el grupo de tratamiento combinado se obtuvo una mayor amplitud de cámara anterior y reducción de SAP (nivel de evidencia 1+, grado de recomendación B).…”
