Laser-based process for polymeric tribological coatings on lightweight components

Abstract: Due to excellent material properties, coatings based on high-temperature resisting thermoplastic polymers like PEEK (polyether ether ketone) represent a promising alternative to conventional tribological coatings based on sliding lacquer.
