Facile synthesis of organically capped PbS nanoparticles

“…The results of the XRD patterns of the HDA and TOPO capped PbS nanocrystals prepared from Pb(NO 3 ) 2 indicate that samples were crystalline and the patterns are in good agreement with the bulk PbS crystal. The major diffraction peaks could be indexed as (1 1 1), (2 0 0), (2 2 0), (3 1 1), (2 2 2), (4 0 0), (3 3 1), (4 2 0), and (4 2 2) planes of cubic PbS, which is consistent with values reported in the literature [21,29,40].…”

“…Up to now, various shapes of PbS nano-and micro-crystals, such as nanoparticles [12], nanorods [13], nanaowires [14], hierarchical star-shaped PbS microcrystals [15], dendrites [16], flowers [17], nanobelts [18], ear-like crystals [19], have been prepared through various routes, including hydrothermal and solvothermal methods, microwave-assisted heating, ultrasonic irradiation, electrodeposition, template-assisted, and thermolysis of a singlesource precursor. Among them, the synthesis route from solutions is an especially powerful tool for the convenient and reproducible synthesis of PbS nano-and micro-crystals.…”
