Abstract:Summary. The pathogenetic events leading to the malignant transformation of Hodgkin±Reed±Sternberg cells are unknown. As Hodgkin±Reed±Sternberg cells are resistant to CD95-mediated apoptosis and chromosomal aberrations involving the 1p22 region harbouring the proapoptotic BCL10 gene represent a recurrent event in Hodgkin's disease-derived cell lines, analysis of the BCL10 gene and its transcripts was performed. As transcription of wild-type BCL10 was detected in all Hodgkin's diseasederived cell lines analysed,… Show more
“…Wild-type transcripts of the BCL10 genes are detected in H-RS cell lines [4] although primary H-RS cell lack the B cell antigen receptor. In the present study, we asked for the pathogenetic role of CARMA1, BCL10 and MALT1 in the context of cHL.…”

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
