‘Lachnoclostridium urinimassiliense’ sp. nov. and ‘Lachnoclostridium phocaeense’ sp. nov., two new bacterial species isolated from human urine after kidney transplantation

Abstract: We describe here the main features of ‘Lachnoclostridium urinimassiliense’ strain Marseille-P2804T (= CSUR P2804) and ‘Lachnoclostridium phocaeense’ strain Marseille-P3177T (= CSUR P3177) that were isolated from urine samples after kidney transplantation in two women.

“…Of the 29 species that were not previously detected in humans, 11 were previously recognized taxa. Among the main discoveries, the present study was able to isolate 18 different new species and genera ( Cresci et al, 2016 ; Morand et al, 2016a , b , c ; Brahimi et al, 2017a , b , c , d ; Niang et al, 2019a , b ; Yimagou et al, 2019 ) ( Table 2 ). Of these, seven (39%) were detected in several projects.…”

“…The highest accordance in dDDH value was for “ Lachnoclostridium phocaeense” Marseille-P3177 with 84.6% and a G+C difference of 0.3%. Although this bacterium was described in 2017 ( 105 ), the name “ Lachnoclostridium phocaeense” is still not valid. Taken together, and also considering the topology of both the 16S rRNA gene-based and phylogenomic trees ( Fig.…”

“…Lachnoclostridium and Lachnospiraceae_UCG.006 belong to the family Lachnospiraceae in the phylum Firmicutes . Therefore, they had a high degree of similarity (Brahimi, Cadoret, Fournier, Moal, & Raoult, ). Simultaneously, Aciditerrimonas and Acaryochloris overlapped with Gaiella and agricultural_soil_bacterium_SC.I.84 , respectively, suggesting important relationships within those two pairs.…”
