Várias técnicas têm sido desenvolvidas para se obter o calor específico de sólidos e líquidos, incluindo a construção de experimentos de baixo custo para o ensino médio. Neste trabalho propomos uma maneira simples de se obter o calor específico de sólidos e líquidos. Por meio de curvas de calibração de resfriamento podemos estimar graficamente a perda de calor do sistema para sua vizinhança, e medir o calor específico do alumínio. Esta aproximação permite introduzir uma discussão sobre o processo dinâmico da troca de calor entre dos corpos.Several techniques were developed to obtain experimentally the specific heat of solids and liquids and efforts has been done in order to build low cost experiments to use at high school level. In this work we propose a simple way to obtain specific heat of solids and liquids. Through calibration cooling curves we are able to estimate graphically the heat power loss of the system and also obtain the specific heat of the aluminum. This approach allows introduce a discussion on the actual dynamic process that is heat change between two bodies.
I IntroduçãoProfessores e pesquisadores em ensino de física têm realizado um grande esforço em física experimental para preencher o enorme vazio existente entre a teoria e as práticas experimentais no ensino médio [1][2][3][4]. Diversos trabalhos têm sido realizados com o objetivo de construir experimentos simples com material de baixo custo [5,6]. A dificuldade encontrada na construção de experimentos com material de baixo custo está ligadaà busca de resultados precisos. Se alguém quer ensinar boas técnicas de medida e elege a precisão como seu principal objetivo, a construção de aparatos experimentais de baixo custo só se justifica se não inviabilizar o alcance desse objetivo. Essaé uma razão relevante para aprimorar o conjunto de problemas em física experimental resolvidos com técnicas desse tipo, em particular no estudo da termodinâmica, de sérias dificuldades didáticas e experimentais [1,2,7,8].A determinação do calor específico de gases, líquidos e sólidos pode ser obtida por diferentes técnicas experimentais oriundas das mais diversasáreas da física [1,[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13]. Ao mesmo tempo tem-se realizado um grande esforço teórico para expressar os fenômenos termodinâmicos relacionados com calor específico em diferentes contextos da física [14][15][16][17][18]. Neste trabalho, estendemos o uso de um método simples para obter o calor específico de sólidos, a partir do estudo da troca de calor entre dois corpos [19]. O método baseia-se na construção de curvas de resfriamento que descrevem a perda de calor do sistema para a sua vizinhança.Com essas curvas pode-se estimar com boa precisão a temperatura inicial efetiva do sistema ao entrar em contato com o sólido.O objetivo desse procedimento nãoé prescindir ou dispensar o uso do calorímetro, mas dar um enfoque complementaràs experiências típicas de medição de calor específico realizadas com esse aparelho.
