“…Electron‐transfer properties of CDs were used for glucose sensing, based on monochromatic fluorescence turn‐on/turn‐off mode. [ 84 ] Moreover, Cho and Park developed a ratiometric fluorescence glucose biosensor by combining two fluorescence fluorophores (CDs and rhodamine 6G) to induce color changes during glucose detection (Figure 8D ). [ 71 ] Fluorescence color change was realized by fluorescence quenching, due to bienzymatic reactions of glucose oxidase (GOx) and horseradish peroxidase (HRP) with glucose.…”

“…Heteroatom‐doped carbon quantum dots offer versatile platforms for specific detection of the bioactive molecules. Glucose is widespread in animal body to provide energy source, and thus its detection based on B‐doped carbon quantum dots was established by combining the quenching effect of hydrogen peroxide and the enzymatic reaction of glucose oxidase ,. Covalent binding of boronic acid‐modified carbon quantum dots with glucose is another popular detection method for glucose .…”
