“…Recently Grell used three marker genes and mapped tu bw at 80-5 (Lindsley & Grell, 1968). The tu-48a gene has been mapped at 29-5 on the second chromosome (Ghelelovitch, 1958). The tu-W and tu-g genes have not been mapped, though the evidence (Wilson, et al 1955) suggests that tumorigenesis in the tu-W strain may be due to the presence of two secondchromosome tumour mutants.…”
