Abstract:The town of Szczawnica, situated on the border of the Beskid Sądecki and the Pieniny Mountains, became a health resort at the beginning of the 19th century. It was connected with the influx of curative tourists and outflow of products obtained in the health resort, e.g. mineral water. This article is an attempt to show the condition of road and water transport on the section Krościenko nad Dunajcem-Szczawnica and its impact on selected aspects of functioning of the health resorts.
