Knowledge domain and emerging trends in diabetic cardiomyopathy: A scientometric review based on CiteSpace analysis

Abstract: ObjectiveTo review the literature related to diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM), and investigate research hotspots and development trends of this field in the relevant studies based on CiteSpace software of text mining and visualization in scientific literature.MethodsThe relevant literature from the last 20 years was retrieved from the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection database. After manual selection, each document record includes title, authors, year, organization, abstract, keywords, citation, descriptors, a… Show more

“…The centrality indicator for the nodes of the co-citing network is betweenness centrality. The indicator of centrality is used to assess the literature’s importance and the level of each piece of literature as part of a co-citation [ 17 ]. In the CiteSpace, the normalized value of centrality is between 0 and 1, and the nodes with high centrality scores are important documents in a co-cited network [ 17 ].…”

“…CiteSpace (Version 5.6.R3) was regarded as an excellent visualization tool invented by Professor Chaomei Chen, which was widely used for countries, journals, dual-map analysis, institutions, cited references, and timeline view and for detecting the keywords with strong citation bursts (24,25). The parameters of CiteSpace were set as follows: time slicing was from 2011 to 2022, years per slice (1); selected one node type at a time; and selection criteria were the top 50 objects.…”
