Kinetika Adsorpsi Cangkang Telur pada Zat Warna Metilen Blue

Abstract: Methylene blue was one of the dyes which used in industry. It is an organic compound that dangerous and could disturb biota aquatic if it throws away in the river without preparation. Hence, it needs a treatment in liquid dye waste that could reduce degree of dye. The aim was to analyse reaction kinetic of methylene blue adsorption by egg shell. One of the treatments was adsorption. Synthesized egg shell were analysed by using FTIR to know some function groups. The reaction kinetic experiment was done to count… Show more

“…The adsorption isotherm expresses the relationship between the adsorbate concentration and adsorption capacity at equilibrium and a fixed temperature (15). Adsorption isotherms are often used to characterize heavy metal adsorption, dyes, volatile organic compounds, and gases (28). Adsorption isotherm models can also provide information on the maximum adsorption capacity, which is significant in the evaluation of adsorbent performance (29).…”

“…Previous studies that used coconut fiber for methylene blue adsorption without acid or baseactivated adsorbent had the largest adsorption capacity at 75 minutes of adsorption with a qt of 1.91 mg g -1 (Baunsele & Missa, 2021), but in this study the largest adsorption capacity was 1.41 mg g -1 with a maximum adsorption time of 75 minutes. Similar to the research to adsorb methylene blue by egg shells adsorbent, the maximum adsorption equilibrium time occurred at intervals of 70-80 minutes (Badriyah & Putri, 2018),while the adsorption of methylene blue using rice husk reached the adsorption equilibrium at 80 minutes (Lestari, Budiawan, & Fuadi, 2021).…”

“…The teak sawdust was used as copper and chrome adsorbent (Irdhawati, Triyunita Sinthadevi, & Sahara, 2020). Breadfruit rind (Artocarpuscamansi) (Lim et al, 2017), Peach shell (PrunusPersica) (Markovi et al, 2015),banana peel (Fitriani, Oktiarni, & Lusiana, 2015), eggshell (Badriyah & Putri, 2018) and green clam (Silva et al, 2017) which is disposed of as natural waste can be used as methylene blue adsorbent.…”
