Kinetic Growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae in Non Dairy Creamer Wastewater Medium

Abstract: Efforts in non dairy creamer (NDC) wastewater treatment can be performed by converting it into raw materials, i.e. as a medium for microorganisms growth. This research had an objective of examining the growth kinetics of Saccharomyces cerevisiae in the fermentation of the non dairy creamer wastewater for protein production. Kinetic study of the growth and fermentation is necessary as an introduction to understanding each process of the fermentation. The research applied an Experimental Design with a full facto… Show more

“…Sewage sludge from non-dairy creamer industrial has high potential value as a source of organic matter and plant nutrition for soil properties improvement. The wastewater from non-dairy creamer production contains organic matter, especially carbon in the form of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and lipid (Dewi et al, 2016a;2016b;Triyaswati and Ilmi, 2020) therefore sewage sludge from non-dairy creamer also contains high organic matter. Non-dairy creamer sewage sludge (NDCSS) is an important type of solid organic waste and NDCSS compost is basic material organic fertilizer.…”
