Kill Me Please: Being a Final Girl in Times of Fear, Terror, and Nightmare

Abstract: This article explores how the film Mate-me por favor/Kill Me Please (dir. Anita Rocha da Silveira, 2015) appropriates and subverts horror tropes in order to consider class, gender and generational concerns in contemporary Rio de Janeiro.
