Ketapang is one of the many medicinal plant species that grow in Indonesia and is used to treat various diseases. Ketapang leaves contain flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and terpenoids that have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties. This study aimed to determine the LD50 and histopathology of Liver and kidney damage before the formulation of tablets containing galactomannan-binding agents. The toxicity determination method was carried out in vivo in experimental animals at doses of 4g/kg BW, 8g/kg BW and 16g/kg BW, and Liver and kidney histopathology was carried out before formulation into tablet preparations using the wet granulation method with various concentrations of binders and disintegrants, namely F1(8:0), F2(0:8), F3(4:4), F4(2:6), and F5(6:2). The results of the toxicity test showed an LD50 of 15.9959, liver damage at a dose of 4 g/kg BW hepatocyte karyorrhexis cells, central vein constriction, sinusoidal dilatation, a dose of 8 g/kg BW hepatocyte karyorrhexis, significant venous congestion, sinusoidal dilatation, a dose of 16 g/kg BW hepatocyte cells, karyolysis, dilated central veins, and dilated sinusoids. The results of the tablet mass preformulation test meet the requirements: the flow time test was 1.48-2.14 g/second, the angle of repose test was 24.60°-30.60°, and the tab index test was 5.33%-9.33%. The results of the tablet evaluation test were as follows: the tablet hardness test was 3.8-8.6 kg, the tablet friability test was 0.167-0.64%, and the tablet disintegration time test was 29.06-107.51 minutes.

Breast cancer is a type of cancer that highly occurs globally and causes death cases. Of the many ways of treating breast cancer, chemotherapy is the most recommended, even though it causes various disturbing side effects. Therefore, alternative medicine using bioactive compounds of medicinal plants has begun to be widely used, for example, Phaleria macrocarpa, a plant native to Indonesia with anticancer and antioxidant activity. The liver and kidneys are important organs that function to maintain body homeostasis. The use of crude extracts of medicinal plants often causes damage to those organs at inappropriate doses. This research aimed to get an effective dose for reducing breast cancer growth and is safe for the liver and kidneys. A total of 36 mice were divided into six groups, including healthy control, cancer control, cisplatin, and three doses of P. macrocarpa extract (58.9, 117.8, and 235.6 mg.kg -1 ). The experimental animals were injected using a 4T1 cell line and treated orally using P. macrocarpa leaf ethanol extract for two and three weeks. The tumor volume of mice was measured periodically. At the end of treatment, mice were sacrificed, and their liver and kidney organs were isolated. Both organs were then prepared for H&E staining and observed using a microscope. The results showed that a dose of 58.9 mg.kg -1 and 117.8 mg.kg -1 of P. macrocarpa extract could reduce tumor volume by more than 90%, and the 117.8 mg.kg -1 dose is the safest dose to use because it does not affect the kidney and cause chronic damage to liver tissue.

Gallus domesticus merupakan ayam lokal Indonesia yang harus dilestarikan sebagai sumber daya genetik lokal karena memiliki keunggulan daya adaptasi yang tinggi terhadap lingkungan dan memiliki nilai ekonomis. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kualitas semen Gallus domesticus terhadap pengaruh lama penyimpanan dengan penambahan ekstrak Allium cepa pada pengencer Ringer's Dextrose suhu 5°C. Pembuatan ekstrak Allium cepa dilakukan dengan cara maserasi dan semen Gallus domesticus dikumpulkan dengan metode teaser female. Semen yang terkumpul dibagi menjadi 4 perlakuan yaitu T0 (Ringer’s Dextrose tanpa ekstrak Allium cepa); T1 (Ringer’s Dextrose + 0,02 ml ekstrak Allium cepa); T2 (Ringer’s Dextrose + 0,04 ml ekstrak Allium cepa); T3 (Ringer’s Dextrose + 0,06 ml ekstrak Allium cepa) dan evaluasi kualitas semen meliputi motilitas individu, viabilitas, dan abnormalitas diamati dalam waktu 6, 8, dan 24 jam. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Analisis menunjukkan perbedaan yang sangat signifikan (P<0,01) untuk motilitas individu dan (P<0,05) untuk viabilitas sperma. Hasil terbaik ditunjukkan pada perlakuan T2 yaitu Ringer’s Dextrose + 0,04 ml ekstrak Allium cepa. Kesimpulan penambahan antioksidan ekstrak Allium cepa pada pengencer Ringer’s dextrose yang mampu mempertahankan kualitas spermatozoa Gallus domesticus selama penyimpanan suhu 5oC dan perlakuan T2 layak untuk dilakukan inseminasi buatan.
