“…A systematic review and meta‐analysis of 52 studies by Chen et al. has supported the proposal that increased Ki‐67 proliferation is a predictor of poorer progression free and overall survival in intracranial glioma . In this meta‐analysis, only 23 studies included patients with GB and of these only 10 consisted solely of GB patients.…”

“…In view of its high sensitivity and specificity in neoplastic tissues, Ki-67 has been widely used as a reliable marker in various studies on oral neoplasms. [8][9][10][11] With this view in mind, the present study is designed to elucidate the biological behavior of the cancer cells in OSCC respective to their location, using Ki-67 immunological probe for cellular proliferation. Further, such probes can also reveal the cellular kinetics at the deepest and most invading front of the tumor, which is considered to be a significant histological site disclosing tumor aggression.…”

“…The Ki‐67 protein is a marker strictly associated with cell proliferation determining the growth fraction of a given cell population . The fraction of Ki‐67‐positive tumor cells (the Ki‐67 labeling index) is often correlated with the clinical course of cancer …”

“…47 The fraction of Ki-67-positive tumor cells (the Ki-67 labeling index) is often correlated with the clinical course of cancer. 48 The CA-IX is a membrane-associated member of the carbonic anhydrase family, composed by enzymes that catalyze the interconversion of CO 2 and H 2 O to HCO 3 − and H + . Hence, it is involved in the maintenance of acid-base balance in blood and other tissues and helping transport CO 2 out of tissues.…”
