Keystroke Biometric Studies on Password and Numeric Keypad Input

Abstract: Abstract-The keystroke biometric classification system described in this study was evaluated on two types of short input -passwords and numeric keypad input. On the password input, the system outperforms 14 other systems evaluated in a previous study using the same raw input data. The three top performing systems in that study had equal error rates between 9.6% and 10.2%. With the classification system developed in this study, equal error rates of 8.7% were achieved on both the features from the previous study… Show more

“…In NN models, researchers first build a prediction model from input provided by users during enrollment, which will be later used to predict the outcome of a new trial provided by the user during authentication. Authentication in NN, similar to statistical approach, consists of comparing the users profile by the new input provided in the authentication process , Hybrid techniques…”

“…It was difficult to compare the performance among different researches based on KSD, so different public datasets were published in this field to provide one unique evaluation research based on one reference. These datasets can be used by the community to evaluate researches results and asses in comparative analysis [16] [17]. The first public dataset benchmark was coined by the Carnegie Mellon School (CMS) in 2009.…”
