KESIAPAN MASYARAKAT DESA WISATA DI KAMPUNG SENI & BUDAYA JELEKONG KABUPATEN BANDUNG

Abstract

This study aims to explore the readiness of local communities towards the development of tourism villages in the Jelekong Art and Culture Village, Bandung Regency. The study subjects were the people of Jelekong Village. Data obtained from the distribution of closed-end questionnaires and field observations. The analysis was performed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results show that the community is psychologically prepared seen from the understanding of the principles of sustainable development in the tourism villages. Viewed from the aspect of social readiness, the existence of tourism activities has built a positive, proactive, innovative and creative attitude towards village communities. They disagree that tourism activities have created a negative social impact on people's behavior. Furthermore, counseling and training has been provided by the government and the Non-Government Organization (NGO) in improving community skills, and village policy has also supported the development of tourism villages. Meanwhile, from the institutional perspective, the village is potential to be developed because already has an institution in the form of a Kompepar.

Village Community Readiness In Estabilishing A Global Village
