Abstract:This article examines the sentence patterns in the utterance of the young generation of Surabaya, a city with Javanese ngoko language as a daily communication medium. The Topicality Hierarchy and Language Transitivity theory wereemployed to analyze the pattern of sentences in participant speech because of the absence of Krama usage.
