In the current era, tourism is no longer merely a desire, but it has become a necessity for almost everyone. Tourism activities can not be separated from the relationship with transportation facilities that support these activities. In this study, we would like to discuss how big the role of transportation in supporting tourism activities and increasing the growth of tourism in Jakarta along with the opportunities, supporting factors and obstacles in increasing the growth of tourism. We use a descriptive model derived from science-direct, the next we determine the important points we input into the article to support our discussion. In the identification, it is found that transportation plays a big role in the growth of tourism that also affects the economic growth of the surrounding communities and the area so that poverty declines. While the environment, human resources, security, facilities, the determinants of tourism productivity. To solve the existing problem, we create a policy opinion to be developed for development and enhancing competitiveness with other regions.

Traffic congestion in DKI Jakarta Province has become a very distressing problem. Due to the increasing number of vehicles and people's mobility, nowadays Jakarta is constructing more road infrastructures in several areas. To overcome the problem, DKI Jakarta needs quick and proper improvements involving various related parties. In the meantime, public's perception towards the policy of urban transportation system, especially in Jakarta, tends to classify certain party in which it leads to the users of private vehicle, and neglects the interest of people who mostly use public transportation. The aim of this study is to determine the most relevant policy on transportation system to overcome the congestion problem in DKI Jakarta. This study used qualitative research with Delphi method. Through the method of purposive sampling and quoted sampling, the writers found five informants from related agencies and experts, then Focus Grup Discussion (FGD) was conducted. The result showed that the policy of the most relevant transportation system is the one constructed together by all mutually integrated related parties

Abstract:Trains can only carry cargo from one station to other stations. To arrive at the destination, the cargo still needs to be carried by other mode of transportation. About 80% of transportation in Java is dominated by roadway transportation by far. Many business doers prefer using trucks to trains because ofthe handling andthe accessibility. The purpose of this research is to find a proper strategy to be proposed to PT. KAI to maximize the usage of freight trains in Indonesia through SWOT analysis. Those strategies are market penetration, product development, force sustentation and opportunities utilization.
