At the current stage of development of the branch of motor transport in Ukraine, satisfactory equipment of enterprises with the fixed assets, particularly motor transport enterprises, is one of the main problems. Fleet of road transport vehicles of those enterprises needs almost complete renovation, and productive-technical base for maintenance inspection and repair of transport requires complete technical re-equipment. The aim of the work is to develop theoretical approaches and practical recommendations concerning maintenance of road transport vehicles of motor transport enterprises, choice of the type of transportation means and determination of the necessary number of vehicles depending on the production plan of their operation.

Recently, integration between activities in operational areas has more attention to improve and optimize in supply chain management. Joint optimization of inventory and maintenance are one of important activities in achieve operational excellence. Good spare part inventory management aims to minimize buffer time between supply time and demand needs in maintenance activities and operational activities by increasing availability of spare parts at the time required. The authors only focusing on joint spare parts inventory and preventive maintenance. This paper uses sytematic literature review (SLR) as a methodology in reviewing literature. This paper will classified of each research on primary studies by objective function, decision variables, variables, and methods. From the literature review results it is known that joint optimization of spare parts inventory and preventive maintenance can be explored further on multi echelon networks and considering several factors such as deterioration and obsolence, moreover some papers doing integrated calculations simultaneously not sequential or separately. 

The increasing importance of maintenance and a cleaner environment besides the relations between them has encouraged the current authors to investigate a mathematical Markovian model for the condition-based maintenance problem while considering environmental e ects. In this paper, the problem of proposing a maintenance optimal policy for a partially observable, stochastically deteriorating system is studied in order to maximize the average pro t of the system with sustainability aspects. The modeling of this Condition-Based Sustainable Maintenance (CBSM) problem is done by mathematical methods such as Partially Observable Markov Decision Process (POMDP) and Bayesian theory. A new exact method, called accelerated vector pruning method, and other popular estimating and exact methods are applied and compared for solving the presented CBSM model, and several managerial conclusions are obtained.
