Skin colour assessment of replanted fingers in digital images and its reliability for the incorporation of images in nursing progress notes

“…However, as some degree of inter-rater reliability was shown in this study, we think that modifications such as three-dimensional visualisation using videos and development of a computer-based colour scale might possibly improve reproducibility of skin colour on digital images. We must look forward to improvements in colour reproduction technology of cameras and display devices (Fujikake et al, 2015;Hung, Norita, Toyama, & Ichitani, 2010;Nishibori et al, 2007). Meanwhile, the nurses who participated in this study as raters expected that using digital images in nursing progress notes would be useful.…”
