This paper presents an approach to text analysis using time series and text mining, in order to extract knowledge from texts in order to analyze the types of texts that are closely related to the time factor, texts whose content can be represented on a temporal axis, such as logs chats. These techniques applied to the document type chat for determining correlations between words that occur most frequently in dialogs, and due to high frequency of occurrence are topics of discussion in the chat, and determine correlations between intervention participants in the dialogue. They can be represented using time series model, the coordinate time is the time of writing reply, and the value at that point is to replicate itself. Based on this representation, can be easily calculated correlations between rhythmic interventions with high occurrence. Research use R package that provides facilities for statistical processing.

Η διατριβή αυτή μελετά παράγοντες αποτελεσματικής ένταξης τεχνολογιών wiki στην τριτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση. Τα wiki αποτελούν συνεργατικά και διαδικτυακά εργαλεία γραφής. H ανοιχτή φύση αυτής της τεχνολογίας δημιουργεί σημαντικές ευκαιρίες για μάθηση, εφόσον υπάρχει ο σωστός σχεδιασμός. Για τη μελέτη του παραπάνω σκοπού τέθηκαν τρεις επιμέρους στόχοι. Αρχικά, μελετάται ένα μοντέλο σχεδιασμού δραστηριοτήτων με τη χρήση τεχνολογίας wiki και καταδεικνύεται η αποτελεσματικότητά του για όλες τις κλάσεις του (δραστηριότητες κατανόησης, κριτικής σκέψης, πλαισιωμένης εφαρμογής) στο μαθησιακό αποτέλεσμα φοιτητών πανεπιστημιακού τμήματος. Συνολικά, με τη χρήση ενός συγκεκριμένου πλαισίου που προτείνεται από τους West και West (2009) διαπιστώθηκε πως η μέση επίδοση των φοιτητών από το 37.2% ανέβηκε στο 52.9%. Επιπρόσθετος στόχος ήταν να μελετηθεί το πώς η προσωπικότητα των μαθητών (όπως μετράται με το Big-Five τεστ προσωπικότητας) επηρεάζει το βαθμό αξιοποίησης της τεχνολογίας και τη μαθησιακή βελτίωση των φοιτητών στο περιβάλλον wiki. Τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν ότι η μαθησιακή βελτίωση έχει αρνητική και στατιστικά σημαντική συσχέτιση με την εξωστρέφεια (r= -0.108, p=0.039, s). H συγκαταβατικότητα έχει θετική και στατιστικά σημαντική συσχέτιση με τη μαθησιακή βελτίωση (r=0.116, p=0.027, s). Η ευσυνειδησία και η συναισθηματική σταθερότητα είχαν θετική και στατιστικά σημαντική συσχέτιση με τον αριθμό ενεργειών που πραγματοποίησαν οι φοιτητές σε περιβάλλον wiki (r=0.130, p=0.013, s). Τέλος, μελετώνται οι παράγοντες που επηρεάζουν την πρόθεση χρήσης τεχνολογίας wiki. Το προτεινόμενο μοντέλο βρέθηκε να εξηγεί το 68.8% της διακύμανσης της πρόθεσης χρήσης ενός συστήματος wiki.

New educational models are necessary to update learning environments to the digitally shared communication and information. Collective intelligence is an emerging field that already has a significant impact in many areas and will have great implications in education, not only from the side of new methodologies but also as a challenge for education. This paper proposes an approach to a collective intelligence model of teaching using Internet to combine two strategies: idea management and real time assessment in the class. A digital tool named Fabricius has been created supporting these two elements to foster the collaboration and engagement of students in the learning process. As a result of the research we propose a list of KPI trying to measure individual and collective performance. We are conscious that this is just a first approach to define which aspects of a class following a course can be qualified and quantified.
