In this study, determining the prediction level of competitive attitudes of teachers' educational beliefs was aimed. For this purpose, The Teacher Competitiveness Scale was developed for teachers. In the process of developing the scale, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were performed on two different samples. In the analysis, it was observed that the scale consists of 4 subdimensions called winning by competition, approval, superiority and exclusion and 16 items. As the second scale, The Educational Beliefs Scale consisting of 40 items and 5 dimensions was used. In the second sample, independent groups t test, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed. Analyses showed that male teachers had significantly higher scores compared with female teachers according to the competitiveness score. According to the institution type variable, it was determined that private school teachers had significantly higher scores than public school teachers compared to the competitiveness score. According to the linear regression that is done for determining the predicted level of teachers' competitiveness attitudes by educational beliefs, essentialism and perennialism determined positively their competitiveness attitudes; existential education belief predicts negatively and significantly.

Some of the behaviors of the teachers who play an important role in the training of future generations, whether they are aware or not, may have some negative effects on the students. These negative effects may be due to the fact that the teacher is not professionally equipped, cannot communicate effectively with the students or does not provide classroom management effectively. When the literature is examined, it is noteworthy that there are many studies on positive teacher behaviors but there are not enough studies on negative teacher behaviors. In this context, in this study, it was aimed to determine the negative behaviors of teachers working in secondary schools according to the opinions of school principals. The study group of the research consists of nine school principals working in public secondary schools in Konya in 2017-2018 academic year. Snowball sampling and maximum diversity methods were used to determine the study group. Data were collected with a semi-structured interview form which was developed by the researcher. Content analysis technique was used in the analysis of the data and the findings obtained from the study were discussed within the framework of the relevant literature. According to the results obtained from the study, behaviors that make student learning difficult in the context of education-teaching processes, negatively affect students' motivation, attitudes and participation in classroom management, cause students to experience negative emotions within the scope of guidance and finally prevent students from fully reflecting their achievements in the context of assessment of achievement are expressed as negative teacher behaviors by the principals.

Bu araştırmada, öğretmenlerin mesleki rekabetlerine etki eden faktörlerin incelenmesi ve mesleki rekabetin yansımalarının ortaya çıkartılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, nitel metodoloji geleneği içerisinde yapılandırılmıştır ve fenomenoloji deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu “Maksimum Çeşitlilik ve Ölçüt Örneklemesi”ne uygun olarak belirlenen, 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılı içerisinde Düzce’de resmi ve özel eğitim kurumlarında çalışan 16 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır ve içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Analizlerde MAXQDA programından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları, rekabetin en yoğun yaşandığı branş olarak ilk sırada sınıf öğretmenliğini ikinci sırada okul öncesi öğretmenliğini göstermektedir. Rekabeti ortaya çıkaran faktörler; kişilik özellikleri, takdir görme ihtiyacı, veli profili, okul ortamı, sosyal medya paylaşımları, öğrenciden kaynaklı faktörler, mesleki özellikler, etiketlenme korkusu, mesleki doyum elde etme ve veli baskısı olarak görülmektedir. Mesleki rekabetin öğretmenlerin mesleki pratiklerine olumlu yansıması, olumsuz yansımasına göre daha seyrek şekildedir. Velilere olumlu anlamda; değişim ve yenilik ile özveri şeklinde, olumsuz anlamda; öğretmenin işine karışma, kıskançlık ve huzursuzluk ile çocukları karşılaştırma şeklinde yansımaktadır. Rekabet, öğrencilere, olumlu anlamda; akademik başarıyı arttırma ve motivasyon sağlama şeklinde; olumsuz anlamda üstün performans beklentisi, hayal kırıklığı ve yarışçı davranışlar şeklinde etki etmektedir. Öğretmenler arasındaki ilişkilere, olumlu anlamda paylaşımı arttırma şeklinde, olumsuz anlamda; meslektaşlar arası ilişkilerin bozulması, birbirini küçümseme, etkinlikleri saklama ve birbirlerini taklit etme şeklinde yansımaktadır.
