In the pandemic era, social distancing has an effect on the social interactions of occupants of student dormitory. Dormitory housing is one way of improving learning services in pandemic-affected universities. Typically, this study will examine a sample of ITERA student dormitories3 in Bandar Lampung. The spatial configuration relationship of buildings affects the movement of users' social activities through the circulation path (entrance halls, stairways, and hallways). The purpose of this research is to determine the optimal design plan for two distinct types of circulation (atrium corridors and double-loaded corridors) as well as to propose the optimal spatial design for use as a location capable of implementing social distancing procedures in the two cases studied. This study used the spatial configuration approach to assess the connectivity, integration, and visibility attributes in order to achieve the best possible results in terms of spatial accessibility. The aims of this study are to analyze spatial configurations inside the accessibility area in order to determine the ideal design type for applying social distancing. Analyzing the spatial configuration provided quantitative data for space syntax analysis. Projecting movement and view areas onto selected building plans showed users' interaction potential. Connectivity, integration, visibility, and isovist are all numerical values analyzed by the DepthmapX software. The findings of this study suggest that the best type of circulation between the two is the double-loaded corridor, which provides the highest integration and visibility values. This research is hoped to assist building users in implementing social distancing procedures in the case of a pandemic and architects in developing pandemic-friendly design solutions for optimal circulation areas in student dormitory buildings.

Apart from functioning as a place for social interaction, open space holds an important role as an evacuation point when a disaster takes place. The concept of open space as an emergency evacuation spot is crucial to adopted, one of which is in the educational complex, particularly related to the safety of the users such as students, lecturers, staff, etc., and to ensure the social activities among them. This study aims to analyze open space configuration patterns and identify the potential of the open space in the educational area or campus complex, taking an example, Universitas Bandar Lampung, Lampung (UBL). The research uses a quantitative method that started data collection from field observation to gather the information about emergency assembly point location settings and conduct space syntax analysis utilizing software called DepthmapX. Furthermore, several analyses, such as Visibility Graph Analysis (VGA), Isovist analysis, and agent tools analysis, have been conducted on the collected data to obtain an image of the UBL open space potential. The result shows that the open space of a car parking area (P3) is the most optimal spot to be the emergency assembly point with the highest values of connectivity, integration, and (876.96, 1.08, and 0.23386).

The developers of the construction project assess the economic feasibility of the project at the early stages of project development and analyse possible alternative solutions. This research focuses on the assessment of property attractiveness and building location problems at an early stage of project development and proposes the original method for visibility analysis based on the utilization of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Geographic Information System (GIS) and Web environments. The proposed Quantitative View Assessment (QUVIAS) method allows to assess the view mathematically and presents it as a quantitative parameter. The proposed method considers the mathematical shape of the view as a sphere and utilizes spherical coordinates that remove distortions and increase the accuracy of the analysis. The presented approach determines quantitative view coefficients for alternatives of windows, premises and buildings, including their comparison. The way of determining the view proposed in the QUVIAS method can help decision-makers to make more accurate decisions during the selection of a project development strategy. The experimental analysis proved the usefulness of the proposed QUVIAS method in the assessment of the rational building location and prediction of project revenues as well as potential usefulness in the estimation of property attractiveness.
