“…The signal of the proton attached to C-3 appears as a multiplet at δ 4.47, and the doublet of triplet at δ 2.37 (J = 11.1 and 5.6 Hz) correspond to the signal of the proton attached to C-19. All these attributions are in agreement with data from literature for lupeol acetate (3)(Hassan et al 2015;Suwito et al 2016;Besbes et al 2017).Compound (4) was identified as taraxasterol acetate. Its mass spectrum showed the molecular ion peak at m/z 468, which correspond to the molecular formula C 32 H 52 O 2 .…”

“…This result may be due to present of a combination of bioactive constituents that have anticancer effect as terpenoides, sterols and different phenolic acid. This activity is confirmed by another study, Suwito et al, 2016 who mentioned that the IC50 of Lupeyl acetate, lupeol, and lupenone showed that anticancer activity of the prepared compounds following apoptosis mechanism. In addition to, Ewelyne et al, 2014 found that Cytotoxicity was only observed in fractions enriched with alpha and beta -amyrin and added that the resin and fractions enriched with α-and β-amyrin promoted cytotoxicity and apoptosis.…”

“…Other studies have shown that lupenone ( 100 ) had an anticancer activity against breast cancer cells MCF-7 with an IC50 of 8.07 μg/mL using the neutral red assay [ 88 ]. Likewise, lupenone ( 100 ) inhibited the MCF-7 cells activity, which was consistent with the previous studies.…”
