Isgur–wise Function in a QCD Potential Model With Coulombic Potential as Perturbation

Abstract: We study heavy light mesons in a QCD inspired quark model with the Cornell potential [Formula: see text]. Here we consider the linear term br as the parent and [Formula: see text], i.e. the Coloumbic part as the perturbation. The linear parent leads to Airy function as the unperturbed wave function. We then use the Dalgarno method of perturbation theory to obtain the total wave function corrected up to first order with Coulombic piece as the perturbation. With these wave functions, we study the Isgur–Wise func… Show more

“…HQS limit enables us to study hadronic decays with IWF. It is well-known that the HQS in the heavy quark limit predicts a single form factor for heavy baryonic semileptonic decays known as IWF [20,21]. We investigate baryons containing a single heavy quark (m Q QC D ).…”

“…The wave function for the heavy-light mesons have been calculated earlier within the framework of QCD potential model [2,3] with considerable accuracy [4]. This has been deduced both with columbic term in potential as parent [5] and also with the linear confinement term as parent [6]. The characteristics like slope (charge radii) and curvature (convexity parameter) of IWF have been reported in both the two cases with certain limitations.…”
