“…When the treatment in advance hemogram parameters of the patients and the values in the third month were compared, no statistically significant differences were detected in the lymphocyte count, monocyte count, platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio, and monocyte–lymphocyte ratio. 73 Inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions were significantly reduced after 3 months of oral ISO at a dose of 0.5–0.7 mg/kg/day. 13 Besides, when other parameters were evaluated, total white blood cell counts, neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, basophils, and platelets did not change from baseline, however, there was a significant decrease in mean GAGS score, total, inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesion counts, eosinophils, and absolute eosinophil count.…”

“…Zane et al 72 found that ISO use could cause leukopenia, neutropenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, thrombocytosis, and other abnormalities in hematological parameters. Cosansu et al 73 found that low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, serum total cholesterol, aspartate aminotransferase levels, and triglyceride increased after ISO treatment. When the treatment in advance hemogram parameters of the patients and the values in the third month were compared, no statistically significant differences were detected in the lymphocyte count, monocyte count, platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio, and monocyte–lymphocyte ratio.…”

“…Currently, the use of SIRI and SII in clinical prognosis remains limited. A few studies have shown that SIRI and SII can reliably predict the efficacy of anti-inflammatory therapies in treating specific inflammation-related disorders such as chronic spontaneous urticaria and acne vulgaris [ 71 , 72 ]. However, broader investigations are necessary to validate the potential roles of these novel inflammatory markers in the prognosis of conditions like obesity and CVD.…”

“…The study carried out by Cağri Turan et al 23 investigated the differences in some inflammatory markers in patients with acne vulgaris after oral isotretinoin treatment compared with healthy controls and themselves, and found that NLR did not substantively differ from controls before and after treatment, while SII can be used as the indicator of anti‐inflammatory effect of isotretinoin. Nur Cihan Cosansu et al 24 assessed the effectiveness of SII, systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI), and other inflammatory markers in patients with acne vulgaris treated with isotretinoin, and indicated that SII and SIRI were superior in being anti‐inflammatory indicators for the effects of isotretinoin. Similar experiments have been done by Omer Kutlu et al 25 on the effect of ISO treatment on MHR and other inflammatory markers in patients with acne vulgaris.…”
