“…In all samples, peaks at 3050 cm −1 correspond to CH stretching of oxirane rings. [ 40 ] After humidity aging, it was observed in the spectra a shift displacement and an intensity increase at 2920 cm −1 and 2850 cm −1 . According to Aslan et al [ 38 ] and Akpinar et al, [ 40 ] the bands at 2920 cm −1 refer to the symmetric stretching of CH bond and the peak at 2850 cm −1 corresponds to aliphatic CH groups that may have arisen due to degradation of such samples in environments with presence of water.…”

“…The epoxy resin formed as a result of the reaction of Bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin which exhibited characteristic peaks of oxirane at 3057 cm −1 , benzene at 1500 cm −1 and carbonyl at 1700 cm −1 (Figures 10 and 11). [39][40][41] The presence of amine peaks from hardener that provide crosslinking in epoxy adhesives was explained by the N H bonds and it can be observed at nearly 3381 cm −1 . The change of peak intensity around this wavenumber and the C N peak at 1192 cm −1 indicated the crosslinking and curing of epoxy adhesives.…”

“…The presence of etheric oxygen strechting and strong C H deformation peaks can be seen at 1102 and 1454 cm −1 , respectively. 41 The FT-IR assignment of 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5% f-hBN reinforced Araldite 2011 adhesives were shown in Figure 12(a),(b). N H peak at 3381 cm −1 preserved its place with nanoparticle addition.…”

“…In recent years, many researchers have used the idea of making polymer-based nanocomposites to improve the mechanical properties of polymeric materials because of their unique properties. [1][2][3][4][5] Among these, carbon nanostructures such as carbon nanotubes and graphene nanoplatelets have been considered by many researchers. Ayatollahi et al [6][7][8] reported that by adding 0.1 wt% of multi-walled carbon nanotubes to an epoxy adhesive, a slight improvement in the strength and modulus of elasticity and a 15% improvement in the toughness occurs.…”
