Investigation of Kinetic and Dosimetric Features of Citric Acid Using ESR Spectroscopy

Abstract: In the present work, dosimetric potential and temperature-dependent behaviors of the radicals produced upon c-irradiation of anhydrous and monohydrate citric acid were explored through a detail electron spin resonance (ESR) study. While unirradiated samples presented no ESR signal, irradiated samples were observed to exhibit an ESR spectrum consisting of many intense and weak resonance lines spread over a magnetic field range about 13 mT and centered at g = 2.0032.
