Investigation of dens invaginatus in a Chinese subpopulation using Cone‐beam computed tomography

Abstract: Dens invaginatus (DI) is a tooth abnormality first described by Socrates in 1856 (Hulsmann, 1997). The etiology of this malformation remains unknown, and it resulted in an invagination of the enamel organ into the dental papilla before mineralization of the tooth structure (Nosrat & Schneider, 2015). It will cause the weakness of enamel , which can easily lead to pulp infection.
