Investigating the feasibility of a hand-held photoacoustic imaging probe for margin assessment during breast conserving surgery

Abstract: Approximately 19% of breast cancer patients undergoing breast conserving surgery (BCS) must return for a secondary surgery due to incomplete tumour removal.
