Indonesia has published and released a new normal life, even though the COVID-19 rate continues to increase. The term of new normal life includes specific preventive behaviors as daily activity and supported skill by adequate health literacy of COVID-19. The purpose of this study was first to analyze the correlation of information media exposure to health literacy levels of COVID-19 and second to analyze the correlation between health literacy levels of COVID-19, exposure of information media to the adaptive behavior in COVID-19 prevention of young adult in East Kalimantan. The research design was a cross-sectional, quantitative study. The sampling technique used accidental sampling (254 young adults) data was taken by Google form. In data analysis to determine the correlation between gender to the level of health literacy of COVID-19 and new normal life used the Chi-square test. The analysis of age, exposure of mass and non-mass media to the level of health literacy of COVID-19 and, HL to new normal life behavior by using Spearman analysis test. The result statistics by gender (p=0.748), age (p=0.323), and health literacy level of COVID-19 (p=0.788) were not associated with the behavior of transmission of COVID-19 and prevention in new normal life. The variable of information exposure (by non-mass media and mass media) has a significant value associated with the variable of the behavior of new normal life (p-value <0.001). The higher exposure of information media through mass and non-mass media have a correlation to increasing the health literacy level of COVID-19 and behavior to prevent the disease.

Pengguna aktif smartphone di Indonesia pada tahun 2018 sekitar 177,9 juta jiwa, penyumbang terbesar berasal dari kategori usia anak-anak dan remaja. Harapan para orangtua memperbolehkan anaknya memainkan smartphone untuk keperluan edukasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat penggunaan smartphone dan mengetahui penyebab tingginya tingkat penggunaan smartphone pada anak usia TK 4-6 tahun. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah orangtua yang mempunyai anak usia TK 4-6 tahun di propinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan random sampling yaitu sebanyak 45 responden. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2018 di TK Negeri 1 Sleman, TK Negeri Pembina Bantul, dan TK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat penggunaan smartphone pada anak usia TK 4-6 tahun yaitu sebesar sembilan puluh empat persen. Penyebab tingginya tingkat penggunaan smartphone pada anak usia TK 4-6 tahun, antara lain: 1) smartphone dan tablet sebagai sarana pengenalan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi; 2) smartphone dan tablet sebagai media edukasi untuk menambah wawasan anak; dan 3) smartphone dan tablet sebagai sarana hiburan agar anak tidak cerewet dan rewel

BACKGROUND: The increase of smartphone user among Indonesian junior high school students, particularly for teenagers, indicates the addiction factor of the smartphone. AIM: This research is designed to adapt the Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version (SASS-SV) to Indonesian version based on cultural adaptation of the rating scale. METHODS: This study involves 300 participants consisted of 151 of male children and 149 female children with an average age is 13.27 years-of-old. The validity of concurrent was used to obtain the validity, while the internal consistency and Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) were conducted to confirm the reliability of the rating scale. RESULTS: In purpose to measure internal consistency, the Cronbach alpha has been applied. The Cronbach alpha value was 0.740, and Concurrent validity was checked to NMP the Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMP-Q) based on Indonesian version. The analysis of ROC showed that the value of Area under the Curve (AUC) was 0.997 (0.990-1.000), with cut-off value accounted for ≥ 32, a sensitivity value of 0.91 and specificity value was 0.973 for the male children. On the hand of female children, the results showed similarity with the AUC was 0.996 (0.998-1.000), and the cut-off, sensitivity and specificity values were accounted for ≥ 34, 0.91, and 0.974 respectively. CONCLUSION: The Indonesian version of SAS-SV provided acceptable validation results as well as the reliability, and this version can be used to evaluate the smartphone addiction in Indonesia.
