Investigación etnográfica en la Formación Inicial de Profesores Una experiencia en el mundo rural de Chile

Abstract

This paper presents a reflection an ethnographic research with students of Pedagogy in History and Geography Bío Bío University, Chillán--Chile. The purpose with this paper was to provide ethnographic tools at work and to develop the historical thinking of the training teachers. This experience was developed within the framework of the Local History course, which is located in the seventh semester of the curriculum, of the Pedagogy in History and Geography course. The aim of the subject is to study relevant topics about history, whereas the questions are analyzed throw a minimum scale of observation, the microhistory. In this sense, we were interested to connect the teachers and the local rural world, starting from the Harvest Festival. In conclusion the students value the ethnography tool to rescue anonymity from popular subjects who have been left out of official history, the importance of oral history in the reconstruction of memory and the teaching of the recent events, and finally the value of ethnographic research for developing a historical thinking. IntroducciónEste artículo tiene como finalidad analizar el aporte de la investigación etnográfica en el desarrollo del pensamiento histórico de profesores en formación. Para alcanzar este objetivo, se presentará una experiencia vivida en el marco de la asignatura de Historia Local, de la Carrera de Historia y Geografía, de la Universidad del Bío Bío, Chile.La asignatura tiene como centro de estudio la microhistoria, es decir, aquellos problemas relevantes que han ocurrido en la historia nacional, pero estudiados a partir de una escala de observación menor, que en este sentido sería lo local.El objetivo de la asignatura es entregar herramientas básicas para iniciarse en la investigación histórica y social, conjugando la teoría con la praxis. En este sentido los profesores en formación experimentan con la investigación etnográfica, como un procedimiento propio de la ciencia histórica que da pie al desarrollo del pensamiento
