In this paper, we presented the successfulness in manufacture of a home-made multi-channel electrical conductivity (EC) equipment. Further, the instrument has been used to monitor the variation of soil EC by time in a soil column with the presence of the inorganic fertilizer MK701 (MK701) to find a relationship between EC and the amount of MK701 on the topsoil. A linear dependence at depths of 10 and 50 cm corresponding to the upper and lower root zones, respectively, was found for a duration of 21 days with the relative coefficients (R 2 ) were greater than 0.902. This indicated that the use of home-made EC instrument could be helpful in assessing the excessive manure in agricultural soil.
